It was my first time buying a home. Being a disabled Veteran, I was eager to purchase a home and stop paying rent. I worked very hard to get my finances and credit report to the score where I could qualify for a VA Loan. Being a potential new home buyer, had me worried about a million things. How much of a home do I qualify, where do I want my mortgage, what are the items that are required in the home and the ambience or flow of the layout. Just to mention a few. On the other side of the coin, The Mortgage Co, Lenders and Banks after the 2008/2009 fiasco, scrutinized EVERYTHING in my background and financial statements. It was frustrating explaining why I had a NSF fee from three years prior. Despite all of the obstacles I had to overcome both personal and financial, there was my Real estate agent Tara O'Neil. She accepted the challenge of helping me attain new home ownership status. I had thousands of questions and she was always available to answer them to my understanding and satisfaction. Sometimes to the point where she said to herself, "why did I agree to help him?" She walked me through visions of what potential each home we viewed, Home inspections, home warranties and down payments. She called me when unreasonable requests were asked.
